Ok. Isn't health care more important than jobs? I know this isn't going to be a popular post. But if your health isn't taken care of, then what good is a job?

Why does there have to be a choice?

Because you don't have a choice about your health. At some point or another, you are going to be unhealthy.

But why can't we have health care AND jobs?

Absolutely we can. It's a question about priorities.

It seems that, if you need to prioritize those issues, things have been massively mishandled.

In my life I use prioritization all the time to make decisions about complex issues. I find myself weighing in my mind the benefits of imagined scebario vs another. When I have my priorities in place, I usually make the right decision.

what about food? without food we don't

Yeah, free healthcare, free food, free housing..

they are all rights. we need them all!

Logical decisions flow froim having your priorities in place. Even food (which we all know is a by product of work)is less of a priority than health care. Without your health food is worthless.

Utter absurdity Food is a constant, pressing need. Just try to go a few weeks without any. Same for shelter. The average human could survive for YEARS without healthcare. So where did we get this perception that health care is some sort of inviolable right?

And without health you can't procure food or shelter

dont most small businesses have to provide healthcare to its employees?

health care costs money, job = money

It's not like having health care taken care of is going to elimnate the need for work (actually, not having healthcare will elminate the need for work).
