My September holiday is nearly here 4 nights in Seattle at then 2 nights in Portland and in SF I'm staying at the Hayes Valley Inn (recommended by artofprocrastination) Finally,on to Milwaukee where I'll be staying with a friend I'm hoping to go on a whale watching trip while in Seattle but can't book until I get there as I don't know if I can leave the US and then re-enter without informing Border Patrol beforehand. I'll have to ask when I arrive at Seattle Airport As regards a Bay Area meet-up I'm a bit stuck for ideas. There's baseball in Oakland but not much else on. One ten pin bowling alley in The Presidio but it seems quite a pricey evening out. Meet-up at the Lexington Club,Wild Side West or the White Horse?

Wooo! Sounds like a great visit. Does the Whale Watch go into International Waters? I can't imagine you'll have a problem with that.

the only one from Seattle itself is a ferry trip to Victoria(Canada) and then transferring to another boat. Otherwise I have to go up the coast from Seattle for a boat trip. I'll try contacting Seattle Tourist Info for advice

hi,futbol Foot's a little easier today. Just tomorrow to get through and then I have x days off work which will help it (unless I go for a long walk on Friday!)

Hmmm... SF is not my home turf*)! We're from over the hill in Santa Cruz... But we would do our best to come to one!! Wild Side West is my GFs old bar when she used to live in Bernal Heights- she took me there once (we didn't get drinks, she just said hi to old friends)!!!! So I know where that is- Whatever works*)!
